Retailer Superdrug specialises in a wide range of beauty, fragrance, make up and products for skin and hair.

f1 colour carries out photography and asset management for Superdrug, a long-standing client, photographing products, colour matching items and using post-photography artistry to retouch images.

As the UK’s second-largest health and beauty retailer, Superdrug has thousands of products available to customers who shop online and in-store – meaning f1 is often called upon to deliver a fast-turnaround customer service. Items are frequently collected, shot and made available for download to the client in under 24 hours.

f1’s in house photographic studio is in constant use to supply Superdrug with up-to-date images on their fast-changing product range. Images are usually photographed in very large format at high resolutions, and then post-production editing prepares them for the various colour spaces and formats required for modern marketing / media channels. These include websites, leaflets, catalogues and large format window posters.

As a cross-media specialist, f1 colour was also pleased to shoot the ‘end-frames’ for Superdrug’s ‘Take another look’ Xmas 2010 TV advertising campaign featuring actress Joanna Page; the retailer’s first TV campaign in ten years.

 

f1’s bespoke digital asset management system is used to retain the images, usually photographed in very large file sizes, ready for use in media channels such as websites, leaflets, catalogues and window posters.

Clients and other approved parties, such as third party agents, are then able to search and download the images 24/7, which hands control of both quality and cost back to the customer.
